The Clay Assessment System (CAS) is designed to provide a link between the performance evaluation and professional development as a system aimed at continuous improvement.  The CAS is aligned with the requirements outlined in the amended section 1012.34, Florida Statute, and Rules 6B-4.010 and 6A.5.065, Florida Administrative Code. 

Based on feedback from the Department of Education after the June 1st submission, revisions had to be made to the evaluation system, the instructional appraisal instrument, and subsequently to the CAS Manual.  Full approval from the Department of Education on the evaluation instrument for 2011-2012 was received on November 23, 2011.
